Gaia Announces Leadership Changes

Gaia, the Boulder-based yoga streaming company, made a major leadership shakeup effective Monday. Paul Tarell, the previous CFO of the company has resigned to pursue other interests. Gaia had named Ned Preston as his successor. Preston’s previous work experience includes serving as CFO of supply chain company, Tive between May 2022 and September 2022, and autonomous vehicle company, Motional from April 2020 to April 2022.

In addition to the appointment of Preston, Gaia has also created a new position for James Colquhoun as the Chief Operating Officer. Colquhoun has already been on Gaia’s board since May 2020, and was previously the CEO of Food Matters TV. Gaia acquired the online health and wellness video subscription service in June 2019.

Kiersten Medvedich, who has worked with the firm for over five years, is also taking up a new role as president. She previously worked with Sony Pictures Television for 14 years and has been serving as the executive vice president for content at Gaia for the past three years.

These new appointments signal a change in direction for Gaia underlining its mission to improve the health and wellness of people through their products.
